Ariel is a homegrown P&A Grant Thornton employee since starting his public accounting career after he passed the October 2013 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure examination, where he obtained the 13th highest overall rating. He has accumulated a wide range of experience in the financial audits of multiple local and multinational companies, including publicly listed entities, in various industries such as real estate, construction, leasing, hotel and restaurant, manufacturing, retail and distribution, gaming and hospitality, nonstock/non-profit organisations, and fund audits. Before being admitted into partnership he was a Senior Manager in the Audit and Assurance Division and a Manager of the Firm’s Risk Management and Independence Group.
As part of P&A Grant Thornton’s global secondment program, Ariel spent a year and a half in the United Kingdom (UK), where he worked for the Milton Keynes office of Grant Thornton UK LLP. Ariel was also a part of the team that received the 2022 Founders’ Award, the highest form of recognition for team excellence at P&A Grant Thornton. Ariel also participated in Grant Thornton’s Emerging Leaders Program in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam in 2023.
Ariel earned his Accountancy degree, magna cum laude and class valedictorian, from Polytechnic University of the Philippines – Taguig Campus. Moreover, he participated in the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Leadership Development Program.
