Jona has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 2013 and became a homegrown P&A Grant Thornton employee where she gained an abundant understanding of the financial statement audit engagements of various local and multinational companies. Before taking on the helm of the Partnership, she was a Senior Manager. As a Senior Manager, Jona was also involved in the Firm’s business development projects such as preparation of pursuits for potential clients. Her sectoral experience covers banking and finance, insurance, trading and manufacturing, service organisations, real estate and construction, and not-for-profit organisations. Jona is also a member of the Firm’s Technical Standards and Quality Control (TSQC) Group.
As part of P&A Grant Thornton’s global secondment program, Jona spent a year and a half in the United Kingdom where she worked for Grant Thornton UK LLP’s Milton Keynes Office. She was also one of the members of the team that won the 2021 Founders Award of P&A Grant Thornton.
Jona earned her degrees in Accountancy and Business Administration major in Accounting, both magna cum laude, at Holy Angel University. Jona was also a part of the Grant Thornton Emerging Leader Program in 2023 at Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. She also participated in the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Leadership Development Program.
