Chams is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, has a Certification in Risk Management Assurance, and a Project Management Professional. She has been in public accounting since the start of her professional career and has more than 13 years of combined experience in external audit, internal audit, internal control reviews, SOX testing, business process reviews, compliance reviews, enterprise risk management, forensic investigation, information technology systems audit, information security reviews and project management. Chams has garnered fundamental expertise in providing services to companies in various industries, including banks and other financial institutions, insurance, real estate, construction, mining, power, petroleum, utilities, transportation, retail, distribution, industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, financing, investment holding companies, BPOs, educational institutions, and non-stock, not-for-profit organizations.
Chams is a Board of Trustee of The Institute of Internal Auditors Philippines 2022-2023. She is a member of the Philippine Sustainability Reporting Committee’s (PSRC) Technical Working Group (TWG), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Chams participated in Grant Thornton’s Emerging Leaders Program in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam in 2023. Chams was also a part of the team that was awarded the 2022 Founder’s Award for Team Excellence. Chams earned her bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Polytechnic University of the Philippines and is an active member of the bamboo orchestra, Banda Kawayan Pilipinas.
