P&A Grant Thornton names two new partners

Professional services firm P&A Grant Thornton has admitted two new Partners effective July 1, 2020. The two new Partners are Elano Marcelo from Business Process Solutions (BPS)/ Outsourcing and Nikkolai Canceran from Tax Advisory and Compliance.

Elie Marcelo first joined P&A in 1995 in the Audit & Assurance Division.  His work experiences include conducting financial audit, due diligence, business process reviews, and fraud investigations.  He then moved to join the shared services industry working for a top commercial bank and a global law firm where he headed the financial reporting, finance and accounting, procurement and business process re-engineering operations.  He came back to P&A in 2017 to join the BPS Division where he was tasked to manage the staff augmentation engagements and concurrently leads its Critical Support Unit.

Presently, Elie is the Executive Vice-President and Managing Director of P&A Grant Thornton Outsourcing.

Elie earned his accounting degree from Colegio de San Juan de Letran and is a Certified Public Accountant. As a new Partner, Elie will join BPS/Outsourcing with Paz Malubay.

Nikkolai Canceran was a Director in P&A Grant Thornton’s Tax Advisory and Compliance practice before joining the partnership. Canceran began his professional career in the firm’s Audit and Assurance division in 2007; he later joined the Tax Advisory and Compliance division in 2008. Canceran has gained extensive experience in providing tax compliance and due diligence audit and tax outsourcing services to local and multinational companies. He has also crafted tax studies and opinions and transfer pricing studies for many clients.

Canceran graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Far Eastern University and is a Certified Public Accountant. As a new Partner, Canceran will join Tax Advisory and Compliance Partners Olivier Aznar and Edward Roguel and Tax Principal Eleanor Roque.
