Filing of AFS and GIS
04 Apr 2017The SEC issued Memorandum Circular no. 02 dated March 8, 2017 setting forth the due dates for AFS and GIS submission.
For AFS
Due dates of submission will depend on the last numerical digit of the company’s SEC registration or license number as follows:
April 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 : “1”, “2”
May 2, 3, 4, 5 : “3”, “4”
May 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 : “5”, “6”
May 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 : “7”, “8”
May 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 : “9”, “0”
Late filings will be accepted starting May 29 and will be subject to the prescribed penalties, which will be computed from the date of the last day of the required filing schedule.
For GIS
GIS of all corporations must be filed within 30 calendar days from:
Stock corporations - date of annual stockholders’ meeting per by-laws;
Non-stock corporations - date of annual members’ meeting per by-laws; or,
Foreign corporations - anniversary date of the issuance of the SEC License.
AFS and GIS filers may choose to avail of any of the following filing options:
a) Direct submission to SEC Head Office in PICC Building, all satellite offices (Ali Mall-Cubao Quezon City, SM Manila, SM North Edsa, Robinson’s Galleria and Muntinlupa City Hall) and extension offices (Cebu, Iloilo and Davao); or
b) Filing through SEC Express Nationwide Submission (SENS); or
c) Filing through SEC Express online submission; or
d) Filing through any courier/regular mail.
